Evan Andersson Biography

Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Evan Andersson is known best for his haunting and emotional compositions, expressive voice and intricate guitar work.

Evan Andersson’s musical journey began at the age of 8 when he got his first guitar; instant obsession developed. Learning old rock ‘n’ roll classics and teaching himself the ins and outs of music. Inspired early on by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. He was solely a guitar player – obsessing over solos and playing along to records until they were perfect. It wasn’t until his later teens when he discovered his singing voice.

He took a hiatus from music in his early teens – distracted with life and other interests. It was in his late teen years when he rediscovered music and began practicing religiously again. Around this time he began writing his first songs. Heavily inspired by grunge acts of the 90’s, he sought to write catchy emotional vocal melodies with repetitive arrangements and interesting harmonies. It was also around this time he joined his first few bands.

Playing with eclectic groups ranging from ska, reggae and funk to jazzy R&B and rock, Evan Andersson starting gigging around the Pacific Northwest playing at bars and festivals. Refining his craft while on stage, he also continued composing between gigs – writing when inspiration struck.

After years of finding his sound, Evan Andersson is now releasing his debut album. A collection of works compiled from a few years of writing.
